North Wales
Simon Parker draws on the British landscape tradition, inspired by artists like Turner, to capture the varied aspects in these natural environments through painting and drawing.

In the studio
Having my studio set up at home allows for far greater flexibility in developing my work through quiet reflection as well as practical response. The journey starts; experimenting: developing shape, surface and mark. Ideas, meanings and responses begin to form, adapt and change.
The mixing table
The workspace is where the first steps are taken. Colour mixing, creating harmonies, testing the texture of the paint through various dilutent strengths, all contribute to the process.
